deecipher is a specialist (small, focused, boutique) agency providing integrated marketing, brand and sales support services. Our clients are B2B and health clients in the US and Canada. We are Toronto-based, and our office is near the Eglinton West Subway Station. We were founded in 2007. We have 8 full-time and 3 part-time people.
Our Junior Developer/Designer is an integral part of our growing team. You will be working directly with our Principal, Digital and our Lead Designer on both client and internal projects. You feel at home in a self-directed team environment and love producing work that pleases both you and your clients. You have a proven track record of delivering websites and creative designs to clients. You love to love your job and are dedicated to making it that way.
Please note that this position requires a full time presence in our Toronto office.
You will be responsible for implementing website designs in standards-compliant XHTML/CSS, building interactive components (image galleries, slideshows, web forms, etc) using common libraries, and custom PHP WordPress templates.
You are comfortable designing marketing materials in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and are not averse to building the occasional Macromedia Flash movie. You understand the importance of web standards and are often heard muttering about validation and cross-browser compliance testing.
We are a Mac-based, entrepreneurial environment where flexibility is an essential virtue. We need someone who will also pitch in as needed, where needed. There is a potential to grow within the agency into a more senior role.
